In one photo of you have three parts of one areas history, the boyd referring to the past as an important harbour for whaling boats centuries ago, the tunnel referring to the underwater tunnel that connected the two shores of the Forth before the Forth Road Bridge was opened. And lastly the power station in the background which is in the process of being decommissioned. This piece of art makes an ideal gift for anyone who loves history or industry.
What inspires my artwork?
My work is normally inspired by nature but while walking along the front of Bo’Ness I decided to take a photo of the Boyd. While trying to find the best place to stand for the photo I noticed how it was possible to see all three parts of industry at the same time.
